World Baking Day 2026 - whip up something delicious!
World Baking Day is coming on Sunday the 17th of May 2026.
On the third Sunday in May every year, the delicious art of baking is celebrated, inspiring everyone to dig out the mixing bowl and join in. Whether you're a novice to the hobby, or have mastered the art of the perfect soufflé, whipping up a batch of your favourite treats with a loved one spreads joy (and a little bit of sugar)!
First started in 2012 by food company Dr. Oetker, the goal is to encourage baking together with friends and family, sharing the love of food. Maybe you're planning to host your own mini Bake Off with some mates or leave the competition at the door and just bake for fun. Maybe it's time to dust off that old recipe of Grandma's and reintroduce yourself to baking. Or perhaps you've found a new one online that you're dying to try out. Sunday the 17th of May is the perfect excuse to grab a wooden spoon and give it a go!
