What is a bagel knife? Well, it took a long time to explain to our Japanese suppliers what a bagel was and why we eat so many of them. Apparently, it is a very American/British thing. That’s how the GS-61 came to be, offering a more affordable option than the G-9, also fitting into the smaller ship shape kitchen knife block.

What is a bread knife?
A bread knife is primarily designed for slicing bread and other baked goods. What sets it apart from other knives is the serrated blade which allows you to cut through crusty exteriors without compressing the soft interiors of bread. This small bread knife is perfect for bagels, sandwiches and other bakes. Its design also cuts precisely through vegetables with a hard exterior and soft interior, making it a great tomato knife.
